fall in love with an old soul, the kind of person who thinks and loves deeply and intensely. Fall in love the introspective type whose experiences have weathered their hearts, but left them equipped with the type of knowledge that usually only comes with age. Fall in love with an old soul. An old soul will remember the little details about you, about your relationship. They'll remember the favorite part of your favorite movie, even if you haven't watched it together in some time. Fall in love with the person who will remember your favorite foods and be ready to bring them to you when you're sick or had a shitty day. Fall in love with the person who knows exactly what it is that will make you laugh, and be the shoulder to cry on when you need to. See, when you fall in love with an old soul, be prepared for a deep relationship, one that prioritizes passion, compassion, and communication. There are some people, very few, who have the sun inside of them. It's hard to explain. Their presence brightens up your world. It's not what they say. It's how they show up - they don't want anything back. They have an internal being that leaks pure light and feels like sun on your cold face. It's a calm energy. An inner peace. A heart driven confidence in self. An acceptance of their story. But most importantly, it's the not wanting anything back, especially approval and validation. The kind of people who you know you can say anything to and they will not judge you or try to change your views. I am definitely not one of those people. But I want to be, and of course would love to have more of those people in my life. Not to just soak up their sun. But because they check you and show you what happy looks like. As long as you make a choice to notice. The older I get, the more I want to be one of them. And I don't know how much of that sun is nature or nurture. Like most people, I didn't grow up in a happy family. I grew up in a stressful family and I wonder how much of that stress I tied to my way of being. The residue of that is the life we create and no matter how much you have or think you have, you will never be happy if self love isn't where you start building. We all know external things don't make you happy. and we all know that happiness is a choice. But if you want to be a sun person, it's not about happy. It's simply about the tenderness of heart. The Divine feminine needs to know that deeper connection to her intuitive knowing is available through the healing of her heart. The Divine feminine needs to know that the illusion of scarcity persists because on the deepest levels, the love in her heart feels scarce.
